Even in tough times, kids need a chance to be kids. Boys & Girls
Clubs of Metro Denver’s Gates Camp gives young people, especially those
from low-income families, a chance to escape the sometimes difficult
realities of their urban neighborhoods and gain new perspectives.
At Gates Camp, kids can be different, experience new activities, learn
new skills, try on new behaviors, and connect with positive adult
mentors. Campers enjoy hiking, canoeing, backpacking, fishing, rock
climbing, archery, environmental games, and other outdoor activities.
These programs and activities teach kids to explore new ideas, work in
teams, and support one another. Campers have an opportunity to learn
about themselves and their potential to accomplish great things.
