 The CityParkAlooza is sponsored by The DenverGuards, a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of at-risk youth in the Greater Denver Area through funding Camp Sponsorships and Scholarships. A portion of the proceeds from the event will go to support Denver at-risk youth through our scholarship program. Denver at-risk youth that qualify under the federal lunch program will have the opportunity to apply for scholarship funds to attend private schools throughout the Denver metropolitan area. School Supply Donations will be collected!
At CityParkAlooza we will be collecting School Supplies Donations to support children at local Metro Denver Area schools from low income families. Please bring pens, pencils, paper, notebooks, binders, erasers and any other common school supply! Help kids thrive in their daily educational activities by donating school supplies to a classroom in need. Can't make CityParkAlooza or live out of town? The Joint Chiefs of Staff - is a 6-man collaboration consisting of drums, bass, percussion, rhythm guitar, keyboards and electric 5-string mandolin. Their eclectic sound draws on each member's distinctive music experience, as well as a shared appreciation for the Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd, the Doors, Talking Heads, Sublime, String Cheese Incident, George Clinton, and Clarence Carter. Since that fateful night, they have been rockin and rollin their way in to fans hearts. While their original music is not easily described, it is said to be a mix of down-home blues and straight up rock and roll, with some alternative stylings thrown in for good measure. Don't be surprised to hear the occasional cover song so you can grab your lady and do-si-do to your heart’s content.
